Two people have been killed and several others injured after explosives stored at a private residence detonated in Nigeria's Oyo state.
A witness saw numerous fallen buildings and ruined automobiles as a result of Tuesday's blast, which drew scared people into the streets.
Emergency services and security officials used bulldozers to clear rubble during a search and rescue operation in a neighborhood of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state, roughly 130 kilometers (80 miles) from Nigeria's commercial metropolis, Lagos.

Some houses had their roofs blown off and windows damaged, and their owners watched from afar as officials looked for survivors. Police roped off the blast scene, which included a massive crater visible from a distance.
"I was in the house with my kids and I just saw the ceiling and roof coming down on us. I have a lot of injuries, (including) my back," said Olaitan Okanlawon, a mother of two.
Okanlawon said she slept in a hotel with her children and returned to get some of her things from her damaged home.
The governor, Seyi Makinde, said in a statement that two persons died and 77 were treated for injuries, with the majority being discharged.
"Preliminary investigations by the security agencies revealed that illegal miners occupying one of the houses in Bodija had stored explosive devices there which caused the blast," Makinde said in a statement.
Makinde stated that the state government would temporarily shelter individuals who had lost their homes.
