A welder was electrocuted to death in the Sondu trading center in Kericho County.
Witnesses said the event occurred in Sigowet-Soin Sub-County and observed the welder electrocuted in his workshop.
According to preliminary investigations, he came into contact with the welding machine's exposed electrical connections.
“He stepped on stagnant water near the workshop. He did not have shoes on at the time,” a resident said.

According to locals, the electricity rendered the man immobile before he died on the spot.
“Members of the public who witnessed the incident tried to rescue him but he had already succumbed,” another added.
The incident was later reported to the Sondu Police Station. Officers responded quickly and transported the deceased to the Sigowet-Soin Sub-County Hospital mortuary.
