A family in the Baringo County area of Arama has made a request to the government for assistance in locating their relative, Peter Kimngetich Songol, who vanished in November 2023 under suspicious circumstances.

Songol had been living with his lover when he went missing, according to his family.

The family, led by his older sister Betty Jemutai, claimed to have conducted a thorough search for him, even hiring divers to comb the Arama River, but they haven't been successful.

They claim that under mysterious circumstances, four suspects who had been detained by the police the previous year were released.

The lover was accused by Songol's sisters of not cooperating with them, and they pointed fingers at her.

When reached for comment, Joseph Ongaya, the Koibatek sub-county Police Commander, said he would follow up with the family and asked anyone with information to get in touch with the police or chiefs.
