The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives have arrested nine officials of the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) over alleged fraud involving a Kes 62 million tender.
The suspects who were arrested in Mombasa include the former Head of Procurement and Supplies, Yobesh Oyaro; David Angwenyi - Member of the Evaluation Committee; KPANorah Mugambi - Member of the Evaluation Committee; KPA and Athanase Wambari - Member of the Evaluation Committee.
Others include Robert Bosuben, Senior Clerical Officer at the Civil Engineering Department, KPADavid Arika - Member of the Evaluation Committee, KPA Azenath Kwamboka Mageto - Agent of Chemiso East Africa, Rose Cherotich - Account signatory of Chemiso East Africa and Idd Arube Nanyang - Agent of Chemiso East Africa
