Namibia's President, Hage Geingob, has traveled to the United States for cancer treatment.
A routine medical examination earlier this month found that the 82-year-old head of state had cancer, his office said last week, without providing any information on his health.
According to a statement released on Wednesday, the president has accepted an invitation from scientists and medical professionals in Los Angeles, California, to undergo a revolutionary therapy to combat malignant cells.
