Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja had a meeting with the renowned American musician Kelis during her recent visit to the Kenyan capital.

The county boss shared a photo of the moment on his social media pages, playfully suggesting that Kelis had mastered the art of navigating Nairobi's roads.

Sakaja, in a lighthearted caption accompanying the photo, wrote:

“For sure @kelis can now navigate our roads…”

Nevertheless, the county's Chief Executive did not disclose specific details about the nature of their meetings.

Kelis, renowned for her vibrant personality and the hit single "Milkshake," was recently observed navigating Nairobi's Central Business District, notably the infamous traffic, as captured in a video shared online a few days ago.

The video depicted the artist carrying 'Uhuru' bags filled with shopping, cheerfully psyching herself up to navigate the bustling streets.

In the midst of beeping horns and crowded streets, Kelis injected a moment of humor as she remarked, "Pedestrians don't have the right of way."

She then showcased her agility by swiftly crossing the road, likening the experience to playing 'Double Dutch,' a game involving two jump ropes turning in opposite directions.

“Guess where I’m at now!?!? Pro tip! Pedestrians do not have the right of way, you better move fast and look both ways,” Kelis captioned her video, showcasing her adventurous spirit in exploring the city.

Currently on a tourism tour in Africa, Kelis recently visited Zanzibar before arriving in Nairobi.

While in Zanzibar, she was captured shopping for groceries in an open-air market, revealing her culinary skills as a chef alongside her musical pursuits.

The presence of the American artist has infused an extra dose of excitement into Nairobi's vibrant atmosphere, crafting memorable moments for both locals and visitors alike.
