Nyoro, the budget committee chair, claimed to have been able to take the needs of the populace into account.
"Out of the Ksh.3.6 trillion budget, they have set aside Ksh.700 billion towards education. The sector is key in the Kenya Kwanza government agenda and already, school funds have been disbursed," the MP said.
According to Nyoro, the money will also be used to support low-income parents whose children are pursuing higher education by addressing issues with the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
The MP pledged to complete unfinished projects and assured Kenyans of ongoing development in their nation.
He cited the standstill of road projects, pointing out that the previous administration made too many promises without having the means to follow through.
