The strange circumstances surrounding the death of a 47-year-old man at Senator Boni Khalwale's home in Malinya, Ikolomani, are presently being looked into by detectives in Kakamega.

According to sources, the victim's body was found by investigators on Sunday inside the senator's bull stable. It appeared that the bull horns had caused multiple injuries to the victim.

The deceased, Kizito Moi, worked for Senator Khalwale and was responsible for the legislator's renowned fighting bulls.

In an interview with the media, Senator Khalwale described the incident as unintentional.

He proposed that the deceased might have been drunk at the time of the incident, which might have caused one of the bulls named "Inasio" in particular to react aggressively.

Senator Khalwale posted a video in which he claimed to have speared the bull to death, following custom.

Videos from the Sunday, January 28 incident showed the senator surrounded by his relatives and brandishing a spear.

"My champion bull, Inasio, has attacked and instantly killed Kizito Moi Amukune. Moi has been the caretaker of my fighter bulls for over 20 years," Khalwale wrote on X

"In keeping with our culture, I have today speared bull Inasio to death."

Since then, the deceased's body has been transferred to the Kakamega County General Hospital mortuary while an autopsy is conducted.
