Residents of Kinare village in Lari, Kiambu County, are shocked after the mutilated body of a young woman was found dumped in the forest.
The 20-year-old woman who went missing two weeks ago was found raped and murdered in the forest.
Police informed Citizen Digital that the girl's body was discovered abandoned in the woodland, covered in blood, and with bruises indicating she had been sexually assaulted.
Her body was taken to the Naivasha District Hospital mortuary.
Residents of the region have complained about the forest, claiming that it has become a haven for criminal activity such as murder, citing multiple cases witnessed in the forests.
