Police In Siaya County are investigating the mysterious death of a Ugandan national whose body was found lying beside a road along Akala-Luanda on Tuesday morning.
According to Siaya Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo, officers from Akala police station and Kambare police post visited the scene. They found the body lying on the ground with no visible injuries.
Further, he confirmed that the body was established to belong to a Ugandan national identified as Alex Atoka.
Additionally, he said that the officers searched the deceased's pockets and found a hospital book from Akala Health Center inscribed with a doctor’s notes showing that he had been diagnosed with malaria and asthma on Monday.
The body has been moved to Bondo sub-county hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem as investigations into the mysterious death continue.
