Azimio la Umoja In the wake of rumors that the coalition's flagbearer may change in the 2027 elections, Raila Odinga, the leader of one Kenya coalition party, has clarified the coalition's unclear political future.

On Saturday, at a burial in Kitui County, Raila made hints that he will support Kalonzo Musyoka, the leader of Wiper Partly, who is expected to succeed him in the coalition's political contest.

However, Raila reminded alliance supporters to exercise patience as the group deliberates over who will lead in the upcoming election cycle.

"We are united...We will agree. What is wrong with Kalonzo being a candidate? I have not said that Kalonzo cannot be a candidate; I have come from far with him. He has supported me, and I can also support him," he said.

He continued by saying that winning the presidency in the upcoming elections is the coalition's primary goal and will make their final choice known when appropriate.

Despite his declaration that he will not withdraw from his campaign for the top position, Kalonzo has stated that he will stick with the coalition and be committed to maintaining its unity.

As has been his custom in past elections, he has pledged that he will not let anyone cross his path and that his departure from politics would follow if he lost the race.

However, the political atmosphere within the coalition has remained tense due to hints from some officials that the coalition's leader, Raila Odinga, may be re-nominated as the flagbearer.
