Seven people have been shortlisted for the job of Chief Registrar of the Judiciary to replace Anne Amadi.
In a notice released on Friday, Judicial Service Commission (JSC) head Chief Justice Martha Koome stated that the seven were chosen from a pool of forty-three applicants.
"Having reviewed the applications for completeness and conformity with the constitutional and statutory requirements, the Commission shortlisted a total of seven candidates," according to the notification.

The seven individuals are Rose Macharia Wachuka, Jack Ouma Busalile Mwimali, Anne Wambeti Ireri, Paul Ndemo Maina, Caroline Kendagor Jepyegen, and Kennedy Kandet Lenkamai.
The interviews will occur on March 18, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.Meanwhile, public members are asked to provide written information on shortlisted applicants.
The position of Chief Registrar of the Judiciary became vacant after Anne Amadi left the corridors of justice as a State officer following a 10-year tenure.
She handed the button to her deputy, Paul Ndemo, who is currently working in an acting capacity.
Chief Justice Martha Koome, who presided over the leaving ceremony, described Amadi's leadership as a transformative journey with significant influence.
Amadi is the first Chief Registrar of the Judiciary to have administered the oath of office to two presidents: Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017 and William Ruto in 2022.
