In a meeting with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Wednesday, King Charles of Britain revealed that, since receiving his cancer diagnosis, he had been moved to tears by well-wishers.
Less than 18 months into his reign, the palace revealed earlier this month that 75-year-old Charles had been diagnosed with a type of cancer.
"I've had so many wonderful messages and cards ... it's reduced me to tears most of the time," Charles said during his weekly audience with Sunak.
"Everyone is behind you," Sunak responded.

Every week, the prime minister and the monarch have private audiences, though, on occasion, cameras have recorded the meetings' beginnings.
This meeting on Wednesday marks the first official face-to-face encounter Charles has had with Sunak since it became known that he was afflicted with an unidentified type of cancer.
According to Buckingham Palace, the king will continue to complete his official paperwork and conduct state business while receiving cancer treatment.
At the start of the conversation, Sunak told Charles it was great to see him looking so good.
"Well it's all done by mirrors," Charles joked.
