Visa has appointed Chad Pollock as the new General Manager (GM) for the East African (EA) region, replacing Eva Ngigi-Sarwari, who has been in the position in an acting capacity.

Ngigi-Sarwari will continue to occupy her position as Kenya Country Manager.

Visa Senior Vice President and Head of Sub-Saharan Africa Aida Diarra says that Pollock boosts experience in the finance, technology, and energy industries.

“His appointment is in line with our vision to continue to build a solid regional team by matching unique strengths and talents with critical business opportunities,” she said.

Before his appointment, Pollock served as Vice President and Head of Global Client Strategy & Operations at Visa.

During this period, he was credited with advancing business analytics and commercial operations for Visa’s largest international clients.

The new EA GM holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering Management.
