As the crackdown on illicit brew continues, police in Embu country have recovered over 1000 crates of illegal liquor disguised as a milk cooling plant.

Embu County Commissioner Jack Obour and County Police Commander Nicholas Maina led a successful operation at the Kianjokoma market in Runyenjes Embu county after receiving a tip from vigilant members of the public.

Their collaborative efforts resulted in the arrest of a suspect after officers broke into a store disguised as an agrovet and milk cooling factory, discovering hundreds of cartons of suspected unlawful brew packaged and ready for distribution.

During the operation, over 1,400 crates of suspected illicit brew were seized and sent to Itabua Police Station for further examination by a multi-agency team that included the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA).

Commissioner Obour complimented the success made in battling illicit substances in Embu County, citing the coordinated efforts of residents and authorities.
