As Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua celebrates his birthday, his wife Dorcas Rigathi has called him an extraordinary man. In her social media platforms, she said.

To my sweetheart, happy birthday. #HonestMen #HappyBirthday, Riggy G.

further adding that she and their two sons were proud to have him in their lives.

"Happy Birthday to My extraordinary man, husband, companion, and friend. You are the pillar and a covering of our family. You take everything in stride and are truthful to a fault. Kevin, Keith and I celebrate the wonderful gift of your life. You are the best father and husband. May the Lord grant you favor, long life, and overflowing blessings. May He fulfill every desire of your heart, with all my love, Dorcas. 'She signed off.

The second lady claims that in the 1980s, she ran into the deputy president.

Despite her troubled mental state at the time, she was enthralled with his initial impression of her.

During a conversation with Rev. Kathy Kiuna, Dorcas distinctly remembered Gachagua's kind disposition.

I was saying further that he was wearing a brown suit and was occupied with compiling a list of students scheduled to attend former President Daniel Moi's function at Kabarnet.

"We met at the University. Riggy G came into my life in the '80s, on June 17, 1987, and there were these trips we used to go on to see President Moi at Kabarnet Gardens.

My friend told me to accompany her to Kabarnet Gardens, and I saw an excellent opportunity. I decided to go with them and guess who was writing the names? Riggy G!" She said as the audience laughed.

She added: "I thought he was interesting because he was wearing a brown suit with a brown tie with some stripes and he said hello as I went inside."

The DP's spouse unexpectedly questioned Gachagua's attendance at Kenyatta University, given that he was not a student there, even though she acknowledged that she was not in a good place mentally or looking forward to a relationship.

Nevertheless, she acknowledged that she had immediately fallen in love with the DP.

"Every district had a district union and so at that time it was Nyeri Union that was going, and I don't know what he was doing at the Kenyatta University because it was my friend who came to get me," she explained.

"I was not imagining getting married because I wanted to take care of my mother. It never registered in mind but I thought he was interesting."
