"This win is a testament to the confidence that the Smart Africa Alliance places in Kenya and its leadership. It solidifies our Nation's tradition as a home for high-profile international conferences, an ICT investment destination of choice and highlights Kenya's commitment to advancing the Digital Agenda in Africa."
The premier continental forum that brings together global and regional ICT leaders from business, government, and international organizations is the Transform Africa Summit, held yearly by the Smart Africa Alliance.
The partnership seeks to investigate novel strategies for directing, propelling, and maintaining Africa's current digital revolution.
Kenya's determination to obtain the hosting rights and demonstrate the country's capabilities on an international platform was evident in the bidding process, which the Communication Authority started in November of last year.
This year's Transform Africa Summit is slated to happen in Nairobi from August 28 to 30.
