An enraged mob severely beat two men in Naivasha after being discovered engaging in public displays of affection.

The duo was part of the crowd at a local bar on Tuesday evening. As they drank, their behavior escalated to openly expressing affection for each other, eliciting astonishment from the onlookers.

Paul Mwaura, a witness to the incident, revealed that the actions of the two men, especially one who is married, angered those in attendance. The situation became more intense when one of the men started to unzip his colleague's trousers, leading local residents to intervene and diffuse the situation.

“The two who were drunk and decided to make out and irate members of the public threw them out of the bar before seriously beating them.

“One of the man is married and residents are still trying to come to terms with the incidents which are on the rise,” Mwaura said.

Following the commotion, one of the men suffered severe injuries. Fortunately, well-wishers intervened to offer assistance.

Mwaura highlighted that occurrences involving LGBTQ individuals have been on the rise in Naivasha in recent months, often conducting their activities in Airbnb accommodations.

A local police officer mentioned that, currently, no one has reported the incident to the police.

In another development in Naivasha, residents of Soko Mjinga, located along the Naivasha-Nairobi highway, obstructed the road, demanding the release of a man suspected to be a rapist from custody. Allegations suggest that the individual in question has been linked to the rape and murder of five children.
