The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission is set to unveil its National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) graft report on Tuesday to expose the weak links that have led to organizational pilferages.

Announcing on X on Monday, EACC stated that it has concluded its examination into the Fund’s systems, policies, and practices.

”EACC has completed a comprehensive examination into the systems, policies, procedures and practices of the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) which was aimed at identifying systemic loopholes and weaknesses that allow theft of public funds at the state agency,” EACC said.

Further, EACC has revealed that the report encompasses, among other issues its findings and recommendations on the way forward for NHIF graft policies.

EACC initiated a systems audit at the National Health Insurance Fund anchored on closing graft gaps within the organization in August 2023.

According to the anti-graft agency, the audit would examine the fund’s procedures, policies, and systems to find and highlight structural flaws and vulnerabilities that encourage corruption and unethical behavior.

“The findings of the audit exercise will guide various reform actions including addressing current accountability deficits in the management of public resources under the care and control of NHIF,” said EACC last year.
