Kenya Kwanza MPs have come out supporting impeached Kisii County Deputy Governor Robert Monda.
The kenya kwanza leaders stated that Kisii County is confronting issues and that impeachment would not address them. The leaders warned that Kisii's conflict could jeopardize progress.
National Assembly Chief Whip Slyvanous Osoro, MPs Japheth Nyakundi (Kitutu Chache North), host Zaheer Jhanda, and Woman Representative Dorice Donya all stated that they would support talks to get Kisii back on track.
According to Osoro, Dr. Monda's impeachment serves solely the selfish interests of a few individuals.

"It is too early to engage in this kind of politics. We might be inclined to different political parties, but we must always remember that we all serve the interests of a larger community; Omogusii," he said.
"We are looking into ways to ensure that the impeachment against Dr Monda flops in the Senate. The grounds advanced against him cannot hold any charge. Bribery allegations can better be handled by the police and EACC," he added.
Osoro disclosed that the county's parliamentary leadership has requested President William Ruto to set the groundwork for affordable housing development and a multibillion-dollar cancer centre in Kisii.
