Prince William and Prince Harry commemorate Princess Diana at the Diana Legacy Awards Ceremony held on March 14 in London separately. While Prince William attended the event in person, Prince Harry participated virtually, ensuring his presence was felt.

The ceremony took place at London's Science Museum, where Prince William was sighted. Donning a timeless tuxedo, he delivered a heartfelt speech to the gathered audience, reflecting on his mother's legacy.

During the awards ceremony, twenty individuals were honored with Legacy Awards.

In a video circulating on social media from the event, William expressed, "I know that she would have been honoured to see a charity in her name doing such inspirational work to uplift young people from all corners of the globe. She taught me that everyone has potential to give something back; that everyone in need deserves a supporting hand in life."

"That legacy is something both Catherine and I have sought to focus on through our work," William continued. "As have the 50,000 young people who have received the Diana Award over the past 25 years. I am so proud to see the belief of my mother's manifested in the amazing young people receiving the Legacy award tonight."

Following the speech, Prince William proceeded to present the awards.

Prince Harry

Harry also made a virtual appearance at the event, engaging in conversations with the award recipients after William's departure.

Prince Harry and Prince William have been estranged since Harry and Meghan Markle's revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey. The couple discussed their experiences within the British monarchy, highlighting issues within the institution and detailing Meghan's mistreatment by members of the royal family. Tensions escalated following the release of Prince Harry's memoir, in which he recounted a disagreement with his elder brother during which William allegedly pushed him.

Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan stepped back from their royal duties in 2020.

Diana Award Foundation

The Diana Award Foundation was established in 1999, two years following Diana's tragic death in a car accident while with her then-partner Dodi Fayed. Marking its 25th anniversary and honoring the People's Princess, the organization stands as the sole charitable institution authorized to bear her name.

Examining the British Monarchy

The British monarchy is going through a difficult moment right now. Numerous medical emergencies have occurred, such as the prostate cancer diagnosis of King Charles III. In addition, Kate Middleton, William's spouse, has not been in the spotlight since January while she heals from an intended stomach surgery.

In an official statement, Kensington Palace said that Kate will require some time to heal and won't return to her royal duties until after Easter. Numerous rumors regarding Kate's health have been circulating since her notable disappearance from the public spotlight. Recently, she came under fire for "manipulation" in a Mother's Day post after online users noticed that the most recent photo of Kate with her children had been altered.

Acknowledging that the photo had been altered, Kate released a statement through The Kensington Palace: "Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother's Day. C."
