The High Court has extended its orders to prevent businesswoman Dorcas Joan Kiptoo from tampering with a Ksh 4.6 billion parcels of land in Karen.

This is happening concurrently with filing a fresh application in court to cite Kiptoo for disobeying court orders.

According to information presented to the court during Monday's hearing before Justice Ogutu Mboya, Kiptoo has disregarded court orders issued on March 8, and the respondents in the matter have proceeded with fencing the property.

Similarly, the court was informed that the police had disregarded directives and asked that the contempt application be heard before other matters.

" The last orders were very clear. The OCS Karen was to help enforce the orders. They have failed to abide by those orders of the court. The contempt application should be heard first. The contempt is continuing to fence off the land," the court was told.

"They are protecting the person's defendants. We are inviting the court to visit the land in dispute and then give directions and give orders," the court heard.

Arvind Kanji Patel alleges in the application that Kiptoo, the Sub County Police Commandant, Karen, and the OCS Karen Police Station disobeyed the court order with knowledge and intent.

"…..that it is essential for the court to commit the contemnors to jail to compel obedience of the court order," reads court papers.

The respondent, however, has informed the court that she was wrongfully sued and is not associated with the disputed land.

The judge ordered that the application be heard on May 6 this year and gave the parties seven days to file, serve, and submit their respective documents.
