A middle-aged man who defiled his 13-year-old stepdaughter has been sentenced to 13 years in prison by a Nanyuki, Laikipia County court.
The prosecution called five witnesses, all of whom testified that the accused defiled his stepdaughter, according to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).
According to testimony given in court, the accused drugged the victim with an unidentified substance between June and September 2023 before carrying out the horrific deed.
In his decision, Judge Ben Mararo found the accused guilty as charged, finding that the prosecution had proven its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
