The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has detained many pedestrians in the capital for not using the designated footbridges and walkways when crossing roads.

The NTSA stated on Thursday that pedestrians must always use the approved routes and crossing locations to ensure safety.

Part of the statement said, "We urge pedestrians to observe traffic rules to avoid any inconveniences."

Images released by the Authority depict police and NTSA agents apprehending pedestrians at various crossing locations throughout the city.
