An inquiry has been launched into a possible food poisoning incident that left six police officers and three residents ill in Nakuru County.
According to a police complaint, the ten were afflicted after eating food given during a luncheon hosted by cops from the Salgaa traffic base on Saturday, March 23, at Lee Resort.
The statement said the food, comprising pilau, mukimo, chapatis, beef, and green vegetables, was prepared by the officers and hired cooks elsewhere and then taken to the venue.

A day after the event, some guests complained of stomach pain, diarrhea, and headaches, prompting hospital visits.
Three senior male police officers were hospitalized at various hospitals on Tuesday and were released in stable condition.
Four other police officers, one of whom is female, were admitted to different hospitals and are in stable condition. Two patients have been discharged so far.
Two Lee Resort employees, a young female and an older guy, were also treated and dismissed.
