The government is determined to fight drug and substance abuse in the nation, according to Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kithure Kindiki.
He stated this on Wednesday in Kwale County while touring the Samburu Sub-County Headquarters' construction, which he claims will help officers carry out their duties in an efficient manner.
He added that the building will improve the public's access to government services.
"Please take that war seriously, it's going to be a permanent war until we rid our country of the dangers of drugs and substance abuse," Kindiki said.

The Kinango Constituency Development Fund and the Ministry of Interior will fund the Ksh. 50 million project in a 50/50 payment arrangement.
Later, Kindiki traveled to Mombasa and Kilifi counties to supervise the body release of victims of the Shakahola massacre and to inspect the construction of additional facilities.
In recent weeks, CS Kindiki has reported that approximately 18,000 bars and liquor stores have closed due to increased surveillance regarding the use of illegal alcohol and drugs in the nation.
