A section of the Nairobi-Garissa (A3) Road has been closed by the Kenya National Highways Authority because of flooding in the Mororo area between Madogo and Tana River Bridge.
The continuous downpour battering many areas of the nation has been blamed for the flooding.
"The increased water has prompted an advisory that the Seven Folks Dams are rapidly filling to near full capacity," KeNHA said in a Monday statement posted on X.
"The flooding at Mororo has compromised one lane of the road. This poses high safety risk to the road users."
