The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, in a significant move, announced on Monday the release of Ksh. 2,076,610,000 for the Inua Jamii program beneficiaries in March, underscoring the government's steadfast commitment to social welfare.
Joseph Motari, principal secretary for social protection and senior citizen affairs, announced an additional Ksh. Four million nine hundred ninety-two thousand five hundred had been paid for the Nutrition Improvement through Cash and Health Education (NICHE) FREE program.
According to the PS, the beneficiaries will commence receiving their payments from Monday onwards, with the funds being transferred directly to their M-Pesa mobile banking app accounts, ensuring a hassle-free and secure transaction.
"This started with the orphans and vulnerable children and persons with severe disabilities caregivers who access their stipends by dialling *222#," said Motari.

"Older persons cash transfer beneficiaries will continue to receive their stipends through their Inua Jamii bank accounts."
The Inua Jamii program assists the community's most vulnerable members by offering.
A stipend to protect them from hunger and poverty.
More than 1.2 million orphans and vulnerable children, senior citizens, and people with severe disabilities benefit from the program.
