Kithimani Law Courts Principal Magistrate Benson Khapoya has sentenced a middle-aged man to life imprisonment after being found guilty of defiling two minors.
Khapoya, in a ruling on Tuesday, sent Isiah Maweu Lucas to jail for contravening section 8(1)(2) of the sexual offense.
According to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), the offender lured the minors with the promise of giving them fish from River Athi.
“The two minors fell for his tricks and were later found naked in a thicket by the grandmother and neighbour of the minors,” ODPP stated in a statement on X.
The magistrate said six prosecution witnesses testified that the accused was indeed at the crime scene, making him liable of committing the heinous act.
