One person was reported dead six others are still missing after a boat capsized in Lake Baringo, Baringo County on Sunday evening.
Confirming the incident, Baringo County Police Commander Julius Kiragu said the boat was overloaded with faithful of a local church when the accident occurred.
According to Kiragu, the churchgoers were headed to Kokwa Island.
Baringo deputy governor Felix Maiyo called for caution when using boats.
