The waste dumped in the town of Isebania, Kenya, from neighboring Tanzania has alarmed the Migori County Department of Environment.

Chief Officer Dalmas Odero has urged the public to collaborate with the government on waste management-related matters.

He mentioned several towns, such as Isebania, where waste is smuggled into the town from Tanzania, a neighboring country, posing a challenge for the government in waste management.

According to the chief officer, they have trustworthy information that some residents of Isebania are planning to work with Tanzanians to dump waste in Isebania town.

Odero stated that the department is closely collaborating with Isebania's security officers to identify the individuals bringing the waste from Tanzania.

He declared that those found guilty would be taken into custody and prosecuted in court.

Since they are heavily involved in waste management, the chief officer has urged the residents of Isebania to assist them in keeping an eye on those who bring waste from Tanzania.
