Police in Siaya Country are investigating an incident where the body of a 19-year-old woman was on Wednesday evening found at her house at Obenge Beach after a suspected suicide.
Confirming the incident, Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo said after police visited the scene, they found the body still hanging.
Further, he said upon preliminary investigations, established that the woman's husband was in the lake at the time of the incident.
The woman’s body was moved to the Madiany sub-county hospital mortuary as investigations began into the matter.
Elsewhere, police are investigating the death of a 28-year-old man whose body was found inside his house at Hulwik village, Karadolo East, Siaya County, on Wednesday evening.
Kimaiyo said the body was removed to a private mortuary in Sega town, awaiting post-mortem.
