Senior Business Journalist and CNN Correspondent Larry Madowo has responded to the heavy rains in Nairobi County, resulting in floods that have necessitated the use of boats to rescue Nairobians, particularly in the slum areas.

Using his official social media platform while reporting from the slums of Mathare, Madowo, who has recently been critical of the Kenya Kwanza Government for the leaking roofs at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), expressed his observations and concerns regarding the ongoing situation.

He has urged the government, under the leadership of His Excellency President William Samoei Arap Ruto, to take immediate action and provide solutions.

A section of Kenyans have not been happy with how Larry Madowo has been potraying the country.

However, the CNN journalist Larry Madowo remains undeterred by those urging him to refrain from portraying the country negatively.

Defending his stance, the 36-year-old experienced journalist took to his social media platforms, where he shared a clever post urging netizens to avoid turning a blind eye to reality under the guise of patriotism.

The post reads, "If your patriotism means staying silent when things go wrong, you are deluded.

Delulu is not the solulu,"

Captioning it, the seasoned journalist wrote, "Are we together?"

The post was shared two days after the former host of The Trend posted a video of himself getting caught in the rain as he departed from JKIA and made his way towards the pickup or taxi station.

"JKIA still won't protect us from the rain after all these years? Do we have no capacity for shame?

But I'll keep posting until things improve," part of his lengthy Instagram post read as he showed some water-logged spots within the airport grounds while complaining over the fact that there was no shelter/ canopies to shield arriving and departing guests from the rain once they arrived at the grounds after and before they get to the terminus.
