Floods have killed nine more people on Sunday bringing the death toll to ninety-three people so far as rains continue to cause massive destruction of property and infrastructure in the country.

 Of the ten flood victims, three were killed in Garissa, three in Homabay, and four in different parts of the country.

The death toll from the devastating floods is fast approaching the one-hundred mark and 42 others still missing.

Three of the deaths were reported in Garissa, three in Homabay, one in Nairobi's Mathare, one in Bomet, one in Kirinyaga, and one in Makueni.

Thirty-seven thousand five hundred ninety-five households have been affected, with nearly half displaced from their houses.

5774 livestock have been lost, while 32,712 acres of crops have been affected by the floods.
