In Murang'a, at least six people were killed when landslides struck the area. Several others were injured.
In Garissa County, over 23 people are still missing after a boat they were traveling in on the swollen Tana River capsized. Rescue operations are still underway.
Several roads have also been closed due to flooding, hindering the movement of people and goods.
Over 160 people have been killed by the floods so far, and over 30000 others displaced from their homes. The government has asked those living in flood prone areas to move to higher grounds.
