Ngito sublocation residents have seized their assistant chief's government-issued motorbike in protests over the official neglecting his official duties.
The villagers want the area Assistant Chief officially barred from his official responsibilities over poor work ethics.
The citizens barricaded key roads in the neighborhood, causing traffic delays and harming local businesses.

“Police from Mulot station arrived at the scene and made attempts to quell the riots as they were slowly turning chaotic,” a resident of the Ngito area told Wananchi Reporting.
Demonstrators are demanding openness in local government offices.
Mulot Assistant County Commissioner James Nderitu told the protesters that his office would swiftly solve the situation.
“I am asking you to allow me to work with your local leaders to address all your grievances,” said Nderitu.
Nderitu further stated that the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government will look into the charges and take appropriate measures.
