X platform, owned by tech mogul Elon Musk, has changed its regulations to allow pornographic and graphic material on its platform.
Adult material and nudity have been prevalent on Twitter for years, and unlike Facebook or Instagram, they were never expressly banned before Musk's takeover in late 2022.
The revised restrictions, which Tech Crunch first reported on Monday, clearly allow users to post adult content "as long as it is consensually produced and distributed adult nudity or sexual behaviour."

X revised the standards over the weekend, writing that "sexual expression, whether visual or written, can be a legitimate form of artistic expression."
The new policy allows posting explicit content as long as it is labeled and not prominently displayed, such as in profile images or account banners.
Accounts that often publish adult content will be required to automatically tag their picture and video posts as sensitive content.
Adult content will also be banned for users who identify as minors or adults and opt not to access it.
The policy applies to AI-generated content, including animations, cartoons, hentai, and anime.
X's safety team stated that the new standards will "bring more clarity to our rules and transparency into the enforcement of these areas."
Since acquiring Twitter in 2022 to support free expression, Musk has faced criticism for reducing content moderation staff.
Under his leadership, the site has also encountered technical difficulties and restored accounts of right-wing conspiracy theorists and former US President Donald Trump.
Musk reportedly intends to diversify X's revenue streams beyond advertising and make it into a "super app" like China's WeChat, which combines messaging, phone and video chatting, social networking, mobile payments, and online booking services.
