Just as he was transitioning from playing football to coaching, Anthony Wandunga Mwangi, also known as Tedo, passed away at the age of 35.

Tedo, hailing from Dandora in Nairobi, began his football career with Mathare Youth Sports Association before moving to Greece, where he played for Agios Stafanos Football Club. Subsequently, he joined IF Gnitsan club in Finland.

At the time of his passing, he was mentoring young footballers in Finland. Additionally, he had established the Dino Foundation Kenya, a sports-for-development organization.

Survived by a child, he passed away on May 15, just five days after celebrating his 35th birthday. His burial was scheduled for Saturday, June 8.
