AGC Tenwek Hospital is set to complete its state-of-the-art 170-bed capacity Cardiothoracic Centre (CTC) to enhance healthcare in Kenya.
The facility has a specialized 39-bed ICU, a cutting-edge Cath lab, advanced surgery and recovery rooms, and state-of-the-art imaging equipment.
Tenwek Hospital has long struggled with a backlog of over 800 patients awaiting life-saving procedures, which prompted the construction of the CTC.
The CTC is set to employ 1,000 staff and is projected to attract patients from across Africa, significantly impacting the country's healthcare landscape.
During a recent visit to assess the facility’s readiness for its imminent launch, Bomet Governor Hillary Barchok highlighted collaborative efforts between his administration and Tenwek Hospital, emphasizing initiatives to enhance healthcare delivery and community welfare.
