The Private Security Regulatory Authority (PSRA) is actively seeking a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to step into the crucial role previously held by Fazul Mohamed, whose term has ended.

Fazul exits after being at the organization's helm for three terms, an equivalent of six years.

During his reign, he clashed with Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) boss Francis Atwoli over remittances.

Mohamed alleged that COTU had neglected its responsibility to protect the interests and well-being of security guards, who are union members.

In response, Atwoli countered by accusing Mohamed of lacking an understanding of industrial relations practices.

“The Fazul-led body has been the greatest impediment to the enhancement of the rights and welfare of private security guards as COTU (K) has received numerous complaints on the same through our affiliate union, Kenya National Private Security Workers Union,” Atwoli said

In a notice, PSRA urged qualified individuals to submit their credentials.

”Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above position. Applications should be accompanied by detailed Curriculum Vitae including three (3) referees, mobile telephone contact, copies of National Identity Card, relevant certificates and other testimonials.”
