The Ministry of Foreign Affairs flagged off the first team of Kenyan teachers who won employment placements in several schools in the United States.
Isaiya Kabira, Secretary of Investments and Entrepreneurship, and Irene Karari, Director of the Skills and Expertise Division of the Ministry, attended the selected teachers' farewell ceremony.
The ministry emphasized that the project is an important part of the government's continuous efforts to seek job opportunities overseas to boost Kenya's socioeconomic growth.

"In line with the mandate of @Diaspora_KE to promote the welfare of the Kenyan diaspora, the recruitment initiative offers comprehensive support during the transition period through pre-departure sessions," said the ministry.
The government has made ambitious steps to sell Kenyan workers overseas, including a pact with Germany to provide 250,000 employment possibilities by June 2024.
The Head of State has also mentioned that he has had several conversations with foreign countries to give work chances to Kenyan youngsters and encourage Kenya Kwanza MPs to help him achieve his goals.
