Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) Secretary General Davji Atellah maintains that the Ocuppy MoH is still on despite an earlier statement from the union's social media handle.
Davji Atellah claims that the union's social media handle was hacked and that they are trying to regain control of the accounts.
"Reports circulating to the effect that #OccupyMoH has been suspended is false. The union handle has been compromised, and we are trying to gain control and clean it. We must overhaul the system, including those who hacked the union handles. We remain strong. We remain focused. " He posted

This follows a tweet on KMPDU's X account on Monday announcing the cancellation of intentions to seize the Ministry of Health's offices at Afya House in Nairobi.
KMPDU announced preparations to occupy the premises on Monday, July 8, to guarantee that all medical interns are assigned to health institutions nationwide by the 2017 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
According to the notice, the suspension was motivated by continuing negotiations to assure compliance with the CBA agreement.
Atellah called the claims untrue and claimed that the account had been compromised, adding that the strike will go on as planned.
