Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga has faced a backlash following remarks she made in her county about the ongoing Gen Z protests. Legendary musician Wahu Kagwi criticized Wanga's statement claiming it's a big shame linking her statement to tribal politics.
The governor is on record urging people from the Nyanza region, particularly the Luo community, to stay away from the Gen Z protests. Wanga emphasized that the Luo community has been fighting for Kenya for a long time, and it is now time for them to sit back and relax.
Tribal politics needs to DIE!! This is how the political class has managed to oppress us over the years. we say no more. We are one people. We demand good governance! 🇰🇪 big shame @gladyswanga https://t.co/63HENfkKWT
