Dismissed Cabinet Secretaries Express Gratitude to President Ruto. Following their dismissal by President William Ruto on Thursday, several former Cabinet Secretaries took to social media to express their gratitude for the opportunity to serve the country.

Former Defence CS Aden Duale extended his heartfelt thanks to President Ruto for entrusting him with the critical role. "I am deeply honored and will forever be indebted to His Excellency President @WilliamRuto and the people of Kenya for this opportunity to serve our great nation," Duale wrote. He also acknowledged the role of divine providence, quoting the Quran: "But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners" (Quran 8:30).




Tourism CS Alfred Mutua noted the necessity of the decision to dissolve the Cabinet, despite its difficulty. "During my tenure, I have witnessed President Ruto's unwavering commitment to transforming our country. While difficult, such decisions are often imperative for the greater good," Mutua said.



Former Environment CS Soipan Tuya expressed her gratitude for the privilege of serving, stating, "I sincerely thank H.E. President @WilliamRuto for the honor and opportunity to lead the Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry docket for the last 21 months. My heart is full of gratitude."

Gender, Culture, Arts, and Heritage CS Aisha Jumwa shared her appreciation, saying, "It was an honor to serve under the leadership of President @WilliamRuto. I am grateful for the chance to serve the people of our great nation. Thank you, Mr. President, and I wish you well."


Florence Bore, former Labour and Social Protection CS, expressed her deep thanks to President Ruto for his mentorship and trust. "I am truly thankful for the opportunity to serve Kenyans. It has been a great honor to serve God and country," Bore said.

Simon Chelugui, former CS for Co-operatives & Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, also expressed his gratitude. "Thank you, President Dr. William Ruto, for showing great trust and faith in me and allowing me to serve at the highest decision-making body of the Republic of Kenya. Your Excellency, please accept my sincere gratitude and appreciation from the bottom of my heart."


In a televised address from State House Nairobi, President Ruto explained that the decision to dissolve his Cabinet came after listening to Kenyans and reviewing his Cabinet's performance. The offices of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, and Secretary to the Cabinet Mercy Njau were exempted from the Cabinet purge.
