The Indian Army has been called in to construct a temporary bridge to facilitate the ongoing rescue operations. Reports suggest hundreds of people may be trapped, and among the deceased is a child, as reported by the Indian Express.

Television footage revealed scenes of destruction, with muddy waters surging through rocks and uprooting trees, devastating numerous homes. Mohsen Shahedi, a senior National Disaster Response Force officer, noted that the lack of internet connectivity further complicates relief efforts.
