Even after the Head of State President William Ruto agreed to make some mega changes like dissolving the cabinet, Gen Z's still are planning to hold what they call a NaneNane March. It is not clear what exactly the Gen Z's want since they have declined any form of dialogue since the protests started claiming to be leaderless.

On Thursday, August 8th, Nairobi’s central business district (CBD) is set to become the epicenter of a massive protest organized by Generation Z. Operating under the motto “leaderless not radarless,” this movement aims to unite people from all walks of life in a march towards State House. Meticulously planned and widely publicized, the demonstration seeks to address significant grievances with the current administration.

The day will begin with a mass convergence at 7:00 AM, calling citizens from all over Nairobi and its surrounding towns to flood the streets. Organizers envision a sea of patriots pouring in from Kitengela, Ruiru, Rongai, Githurai, Mlolongo, Juja, Kangemi, Ngong, Kibera, Mathare, South B, Utawala, Kawangware, and beyond.

By 9:00 AM, the demonstrators plan to assemble  in the CBD.

A significant aspect of the protest is the planned tribute to fallen heroes. Participants are encouraged to take with them flowers for a solemn ceremony, honoring those who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for justice.

The organizers have also reached out to the police and military, emphasizing that they are not the enemy. They frame the protest as a citizen-driven demand for justice, urging law enforcement to lay down their weapons and, if possible, join the movement.
