Speaking on the Citizen TV show, She condemned the deal that resulted in ODM Party members being appointed to Ruto’s Cabinet, labeling it a violation of the Constitution. She emphasized that these appointments undermine transparency and accountability, lowering constitutional standards.

Karua argued that ODM should have relinquished its Opposition majority role to other parties within the coalition, criticizing Odinga's conflicting statements about his involvement in these appointments.

She accused the ODM faction of attempting to enter the government through the 'backdoor,' undermining the constitutional structure that separates the majority and minority sides in Parliament.

Highlighting the ethical dilemma, Karua stated that ODM's participation in the government compromises its ability to hold the administration accountable. She noted that ODM members, having close ties with the newly appointed Cabinet Secretaries, would struggle to question and oversee their actions impartially.

According to Karua, this relationship diminishes ODM's credibility as a watchdog, advocating for other parties like Wiper to assume the Opposition role.

Karua’s criticism underscores the importance of maintaining constitutional integrity and accountability in government operations. She stressed that ODM’s involvement in Ruto's government creates conflicts of interest, weakening parliamentary oversight and accountability mechanisms crucial for democratic governance.
