Earlier, The Breakfast Club hosted Michael Rubin, the CEO of Fanatics, where he discussed various topics, including banning "Not Like Us" at his recent all-white Fourth of July party and his friendship with Meek Mill. However, the interview has gone viral for the wrong reasons. Rubin made controversial comments that have sparked widespread debate, particularly involving Meek Mill.

Rubin's remarks that ignited the controversy were as follows: "Look, I’m just being blunt. The one thing I’ve learned about Black culture that I don’t like is Black hate on Black hate," he said. When Charlamagne tha God asked him to elaborate, Rubin explained, "I think there’s a part of Black culture where it’s Black hate on Black hate. It’s like that Black judge who went extra hard on Meek. People always say this to me—it’s Black hate on Black hate. I think it’s terrible. It’s culturally wrong, and I’ll probably get killed for saying this." During this conversation, Rubin referenced his close friend Meek Mill to illustrate his point.

Rubin went on to discuss the rumors about Meek Mill, saying, "When I see people trying to push a narrative about my good friend Meek, like if he were gay—which he’s not—who cares? It’s 2024, who the f*** cares? But he’s not gay, so why lie about it?" Rubin’s comments have caused a stir, particularly within the Black community, who have criticized his audacity as a white man to make such statements. Despite the backlash, Meek Mill seems to support Rubin’s overall message, though he did not address the comments about sexuality.

Meek responded on Twitter, saying, "Rubin shouldn’t be saying that stuff out loud… a Black man should, but nobody’s saying it. It’s like we only collab on songs, women, and parties… he hears about my friends getting murdered, and I can’t explain it to him sensibly!" However, Meek’s tweet left many people puzzled by its message and format.
