Suba East MP Millie Odhiambo has called for the immediate release of controversial social media influencer Maverick Aoko, who was arrested by police for allegedly maligning the President.
Despite being ridiculed by Aoko over personal matters, Millie has defended her, stating that she will continue to uphold the constitutional rights of all individuals, particularly women, regardless of personal disagreements or differing philosophies.
However, MP Millie recalled how Maverick Aoko had previously ridiculed her for being childless. She mentioned that she had considered taking legal action against Aoko but decided against it after being informed of certain private details about Aoko that were not publicly known.

"There is a lady called Aoko who is notorious for creating/ imagining/spicing up stories and/or defaming politicians and abusing people online. She at one time created such a story about me and derided me and my husband for being childless. I contemplated taking her to court, but someone brought to my attention other facts about her not in the public domain and so I dropped the case." Reads Millie Odhiambo message in part.
The MP has called for the immediate release of Maverick Aoko. The MP argued that the accusations against Aoko are trivial and do not warrant serious investigations.
