Kenya Airways (KQ) has recorded a net profit increase of Kes513 million for the six months ending June 30, 2024, compared to Kes21.7 billion recorded in a similar period in 2023.

The airline attributed the growth to reduced exposures to foreign currency fluctuations, state loan restructuring, and improved cargo and passenger businesses.

KQ chairman Michael Joseph revealed that the growth represents a 102 percent rise.

“We have had rough moments previously. These figures therefore are a testament to the power of what we can achieve when we work together.”

Similarly, KQ attributed the turnaround to operational efficiency improvements and a stronger global travel market.
